CAUTION: WHAT DECKPROTECT DOES NOT DO

Flying Embers
DeckProtect is not designed to protect a deck from flying embers simply because they may not land on the DeckProtect. If a burning ember does land on the DeckProtect, it will cause no damage, but an ember can become airborne with a tiny explosion that can easily propel it beyond the edges of the DeckProtect. It is best to use a screen over the fire and, at the very least, keep an eye on it. It is never a good idea to leave a fire unattended.

Lawns
DeckProtect is not intended for use on a lawn. It works well on decks and patios.

Shipping Policy: If we need to ship DeckProtect to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii or any foreign country, please contact us at sales@deckprotect.com for a shipping quote.

Shipping to Canada: Shipping to Canada costs a little more, but we have many customers in Canada. You should see the shipping price to Canada in the shopping cart. If not please send an email. Customers in Canada will also be charged import duty by the carrier, which in most cases will be UPS. We do not have a way to estimate the duty, but if it is more than 15%, we will refund the difference.

Order Confirmations: For now, our web site does not automatically send very detailed order confirmations. You do get a payment receipt automatically. We write up and send detailed confirmations manually. You may not get this confirmation right away, but it will be coming. This process establishes an email communication link between the customer and our customer service people. We are a small company, and we want you to know you will be communicating with real individuals (in the U.S.) who are part of our company and care very much about your order.

Privacy Policy: We are a small company in the business of manufacturing and selling display and outdoor living products. We are not in the business of selling customer information or sharing it with “affiliates.” Therefore your name and email address will be used only by us and only pertaining to your purchase. Before you enter any credit card information, you will be directed to a secure payment web site. We don't see your card information. Some customers place orders by calling us, in which case we may take credit card information over the phone. In those instances, we are advised to tell customers to NOT send card information by email. Phone is the only secure way. We jot it down, run the card, then shred the paper on which we wrote your info.

Returns / Guarantee of Satisfaction: Ocean Color is confident that you will be pleased with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us within 10 days in its original shipping carton for a full refund of the purchase price including shipping. Pay only return shipping. To receive a refund, please contact us by email for a Return Authorization so that we know you are returning the product. Email: phil@oceancolor.com

Order Cancellations: You can cancel an order for a full refund as long as it has not shipped yet. The exception is custom orders. Once we start creating a custom item, the customer must be committed since we will not have another customer for it. You will not be required to provide a reason for cancelling, though we would sure appreciate knowing since it will help us understand if we have somehow fallen short of your expectations.

Damaged Product: If your DeckProtect arrives with damage from shipping, please contact us at sales@deckprotect.net to let us know. Please describe the damage. We do not ask you to take photos to prove the damage; we take your word for it. We will send you a replacement and arrange for return shipping of the damaged item. We will ship the replacement as soon as we can and not wait for the damaged item to be returned. Please be sure to keep the original shipping carton for returning the item. We will cover the cost of returning the damaged item. If you have an event for which you will need the DeckProtect and you feel that the damaged item will still work, go ahead and use it until the replacement arrives.
